DartLeague Privacy Policy (UK GDPR & PECR)

This Privacy Policy explains how DartLeague (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Ray Cove, collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use DartLeague and related services.
DartLeague is operated from the United Kingdom and aims to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who We Are

We may collect:
- Email address
- Name or display name
- Account creation date
- Email verification status
- Google or Facebook account identifiers where social login is used
- Avatar URLs supplied by social login providers
- Team memberships and roles
- Match availability and participation records
- Statistics and competition records
- Super 5 predictions
- Friendly match participation
- Audit logs and security records
- Technical information including IP address, browser type, device information and request logs
3. How We Collect Data
Data may be provided directly by users, entered by authorised administrators, generated through use of the platform, received from social login providers, or collected automatically through technical logs and security systems.

We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate DartLeague
- Authenticate users
- Manage leagues, competitions and teams
- Maintain statistics and historical records
- Send transactional emails
- Respond to support requests
- Improve platform performance

5. Lawful Bases for Processing
We process data under one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Contract — providing platform services requested by users
- Legitimate Interests — operating leagues, maintaining records, security and platform improvement
- Consent — optional marketing communications and certain third-party integrations

6. Competition Records and Statistics
Participation in leagues may result in publication of competition records, standings, appearances and statistics. Historical sporting records may be retained indefinitely where necessary to preserve the integrity and continuity of league competitions.
7. Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion by contacting support@dartleague.co.uk. Where deletion is requested, personal account information may be removed or anonymised while historical competition records remain where necessary to preserve league history.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
DartLeague uses essential cookies and similar technologies necessary for operation of the platform, including session management, authentication and security protection.
These may include:
- Laravel session cookies
- CSRF protection cookies
- Authentication-related cookies
- Cloudflare Turnstile security technologies

9. Cloudflare Turnstile
Login and registration forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect against automated abuse and spam. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and device characteristics.
10. Social Login Providers
Where enabled, users may authenticate using Google or Facebook. Those providers may share information including email address, display name and profile image subject to permissions granted by the user. Use of such services is also subject to the privacy policies of Google and Meta.
11. Google Places and Venue Information
Venue management tools may use Google Places or related services to assist users in locating venues and addresses. Search queries entered for venue lookup may be transmitted to Google.
12. Emails and Notifications
We may send transactional emails relating to account access, login verification, invitations, join requests, fixture reminders, administrative actions and support matters. Marketing communications will only be sent where appropriate consent exists or another lawful basis applies.
13. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data.
We may share information with service providers where necessary to operate DartLeague, including email delivery providers, authentication providers, security services and infrastructure providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
14. International Transfers
Some third-party providers including Google, Meta and Cloudflare may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
15. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
16. Data Retention
Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data. Authentication logs, security records and operational logs may be retained for operational, security and legal purposes. Historical league records and statistics may be retained indefinitely to preserve competition history.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights including:

18. Complaints
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
19. Children’s Privacy
DartLeague is not directed at children under 13 and is intended primarily for adult league participants. Users must be at least 18 years old to create accounts or participate in Super 5 features.
20. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Updated versions will be published on DartLeague with a revised last updated date.
